In the latest of Ellery Adams’ USA Today bestselling series, as clouds gather over the Great Smoky Mountains, an absent groom, a stolen historical document, and a book club coming apart at the seams stir up a different sort of storm in this engaging mystery. How far will one book lover go to keep a secret?
Ellery Adams is the New York Times and USA Today bestselling author of more than 40 mystery novels, including the Book Retreat Mysteries; The Secret, Book, Scone Society series; and the Books by the Bay Mysteries. A native of New York, she grew up on a beach near the Long Island Sound. She now lives with her husband and two children in Chapel Hill, North Carolina, so she considers herself “baked in the North and buttered in the South.” The Liars Book Club will be available for sale and signing at the event.

Keep Pat’s Legacy Alive: Give Before Year’s End
As 2026 draws to a close, we hope you will consider a year-end gift to the Pat Conroy Literary Center. Your support helps us continue Pat’s legacy by celebrating the power of stories; nurturing readers, writers, students and educators; and bringing people together through literature. Like many nonprofit organizations, we rely on the generosity of people who believe in our mission to sustain and grow our programs. In fact, 84% of all our revenue comes from individual donations-like yours. Every gift makes a difference, no matter the size, and we are deeply grateful for your support. Thank you for helping us keep Pat’s spirit and love of storytelling alive in the Lowcountry and beyond.
