Return to the USCB Center for the Arts Stage for Roots, Rhythm & Soul
The USCB Center for the Arts welcomes beloved Lowcountry performer Marlena Smalls and the Hallelujah Singers back to the stage for Roots, Rhythm & Soul, October 10–11, 2026.
Smalls is excited to return to the Center for the Arts for an unforgettable musical journey celebrating the powerful sounds that have shaped generations. From the deep roots of blues and gospel to the unmistakable sound of soul, the evening will be filled with incredible music, storytelling, energy, and show-stopping costumes.
Joined by the acclaimed Hallelujah Singers, Smalls will take audiences on a journey through the music and traditions that have influenced American culture while celebrating the rich musical heritage of the Lowcountry.
“I’m thrilled to be back. If I were to say there was a stage that’s home for me, it would be the Beaufort stage,” said Smalls. “Listen, people aren’t going to be able to stay in their seats, I’m telling you, y’all come on out and see us!”
Roots, Rhythm & Soul will be presented Saturday, October 10, at 7:30 p.m. and Sunday, October 11, at 3:00 p.m. at the USCB Center for the Arts, 805 Carteret Street in downtown Beaufort.
