Xfinity Expands to Beaufort and Edisto
More than 1,000 additional homes and businesses can now access Xfinity and Comcast Business services.

More than 1,000 additional homes and businesses in Beaufort and Edisto now have access to Xfinity and Comcast Business services following the completion of Comcast’s latest network expansions in South Carolina. The projects extend Xfinity’s fiber-powered network into Beaufort County and the Charleston County portion of Edisto, bringing multi-gigabit Internet and other advanced services to previously underserved areas.
Reaching these communities required more than building new infrastructure. It required collaboration.
Supported by federal American Rescue Plan Act funding, public-private partnerships helped Comcast extend its network into areas where the cost and complexity of construction can make broadband expansion challenging. The Beaufort County project received support through the Capital Projects Fund, while the Edisto expansion built upon an earlier project supported by State and Local Fiscal Recovery Funds.
The result is greater access to the connectivity residents and local businesses increasingly rely on every day.

Local businesses can also tap into Comcast Business solutions designed to strengthen operations, protect their networks and support growth.”

For residents, the expansion brings access to Xfinity’s full suite of services.
Xfinity Internet offers multi-gigabit speeds, 99.9% reliability and WiFi coverage designed to support connected devices throughout the home. Whether a household is streaming a favorite series, joining a video call, gaming or simply keeping up with family and friends, the network is built to handle the many ways people connect.
Residents can also access Xfinity Mobile, entertainment through Xfinity TV and connected-home protection through Xfinity Home Solutions. These products are designed to work together, making it easier for customers to manage their connectivity, entertainment and security at home or on the go.
