08 June 2026 | BeaufortLifestyle.comThere is something so special about living in the Lowcountry, where the tide sets the rhythm of our days, neighbors still know one another by name, and stories are often built around family, faith, hard work, and a deep love for this place we call home. Beaufort has a way of drawing people in and reminding us that the most meaningful things in life are rarely built alone. This month we celebrate Men in Business %u2014 Built on Partnership. I am reminded that behind every strong business, nonprofit, family dream, or community legacy, there is almost always a %u201cbiggest supporter%u201d at the heart of it. That partnership is sometimes between a husband and wife, siblings, parents and children, mentors and students, employees and customers, or a community that believes in someone%u2019s vision before the rest of the world sees it. Success is never just one person standing alone. It is the steady support, encouragement, sacrifice, and love of others that help turn an idea into something lasting. Our cover story introduces Chad Troutman and Andrea Michel of Egret & Iron, Beaufort%u2019s indoor golf simulator and gathering space. Their story reminds us that sometimes the best things in life are not part of the original plan. They came to Beaufort looking for home and created a place where golfers, families, beginners, friends, and neighbors can gather, rain or shine. We introduce Clyde Williams of Art Restoration by Clyde, whose work is as patient as it is powerful. Clyde restores paintings, frames, photographs, books, furniture, and treasured family pieces, but more than that, he restores memories, preserves history, and brings beauty back to what people hold dear. With his wife Claudia, sister Norma, and son Je%u2019Clyde beside him, his story is one of talent, family, dedication, and a lifelong gift. Our centerfold shines on Tucker DeLoach of Ranger Trash Company, proving that cleanup can be rooted in service, professionalism, and heart. We are honored to share Chris Dantzler and the Extra Mile Club of the Lowcountry. Chris has spent years investing in Beaufort%u2019s youth through mentorship, leadership, athletics, accountability, and love, reminding us success is measured by what we pour into others. Inside the Beaufort Lifestyle Lowcountry Homes Guide, we open with Joseph Armstrong of Caribbean Tree Service, whose family-rooted business helps shape the Lowcountry. We close with Beaufort Memorial%u2019s Bemmy Awards, honoring caregivers, leaders, staff, and volunteers who serve with compassion, excellence, teamwork, and heart. As warmer weather settles in, boats return to the water, porches fill with laughter, and the marsh grass glows in the evening light, the Lowcountry once again reminds us why we love living here. Beaufort is beautiful, but its true beauty is found in its people. It is found in the families building businesses, the mentors shaping young lives, the artists preserving memories, the caregivers serving with compassion, and the neighbors who continue to show up for one another. Thank you to our readers, advertisers, and staff for continuing to support Beaufort Lifestyle. It is a joy and a privilege to celebrate the people, partnerships, and stories that make Beaufort such an extraordinary place to live, work, and call home.PUBLISHER%u2019S ThoughtsABOUT THE COVERChad Troutman and Andrea Michel have built more than the Lowcountry%u2019s largest indoor golf simulator facility, they have created a welcoming gathering place.
