Conroy Center Hosts Children’s Book Fair

 at Coastal Discovery Museum’s Family Fun Day, August 10

The nonprofit Pat Conroy Literary Center will host a Children’s Book Fair featuring local children’s book authors and artists as part of the Coastal Discovery Museum’s annual Family Fun Day. Meet them under the pavilion at Honey Horn (70 Honey Horn Dr., Hilton Head Island) on Tuesday, August 10, from 10:00 a.m. to 1:00 p.m. This event is free and open to the public.

Books by participating authors will be available for sale and signing. The Storybook Shoppe (www.thestorybookshoppe.com) from Bluffton will also be on hand with a wonderful selection of other children’s books, too!

Participating authors and artists include: Susan Diamond Riley (The Sea Island’s Secret and The Sea Turtle’s Curse), Lisa Anne Cullen (Little Orange Honey Hood and Three Wild Pigs), Rebecca Chamberlain (Maralee and the Turtles of the Sea), Ann Lilly (Scoot’s New Home and Scoot’s Savannah Rescue), Doreen Baughman, Mary T. Jacobs (Big Daddy and Friends on Fripp Island and Hurricane on Fripp Island), Donna Chapman (The Adventures of Harriet the Sausage Dog), Miho Kinnas (Today, Fish Only and Move Over Bird), Ann Beavers (Bike and Seek: Geocache on Hilton Head), and Mira Scott and Bill Borg (Hilton Head’s Myrtle the Loggerhead Turtle). The Conroy Center will also have copies of the Camp Conroy anthologies available for sale, along with a selection of other items from the Center’s gift shop.
