Brielle Bing

From Dreams to Treasures

story by NAKEISHA DAWSON-THOMPSON

Brielle M. Bing was born and raised in beautiful Beaufort by the sea. Brielle is a graduate of Bluffton High School. She is the youngest child of Pastor Michael and Betty Haskins. Brielle attended the University of South Carolina Beaufort (USCB), earning a bachelor’s degree in science and human services. She continued her education at Webster University where she earned her master’s degree in human resources. Brielle has three beautiful children whom she adores: Brianna, 8; Jayde, 6; and Jamel, 3. Her family encourages her to push herself outside of the box and be an example to her children of what hard work, dreaming big, and perseverance will allow you to accomplish.

From an early age, she knew her passion was serving people. Her experiences in life have helped shaped her and the work that she does. Unfortunately, at the tender age of 2 years, 3 months, and 12 days, her son Braedon drowned in a family friend’s pool. Braedon was revived by the Beaufort County EMS and taken to Beaufort Memorial Hospital. He was later transferred to MUSC in Charleston. Braedon lived for two days before transitioning to his heavenly home on June 22, 2010.

In honor of Braedon’s life, Braedon’s Foundation, a charitable organization, was founded to bring education and awareness to the community by providing opportunities to underprivileged children in aquatics lessons and exposure. Through Braedon’s Foundation, Brielle’s desire is to prevent another child from drowning due to a lack of knowing how to swim. Brielle believes, “Even in our worst tragedies, God still has a plan! We will continue our service not only to our community but, more importantly, as service to the Lord and Savior Jesus Christ. Giving back is what makes this community great! It should be “our” hearts’ true joy!” Brielle’s scripture of choice is Romans 8:28, “And we know that in all things God works for the good of those who love Him, who have been called according to His purpose.”

Almost five years ago, Brielle bought and began renting bounce houses as a secondary source of income. She always had a sense of entrepreneurship, knowing that she would build a brand for herself and her family one day. So she did just that. Approximately three years ago, Brielle had the grand opening of Dream & Treasure’s Party Room (named after her daughters) located in Beaufort Town Center. Since opening the doors, she has provided numerous businesses and families the opportunity to have events in a safe, warm environment beautifully decorated. She has given back to the community in more ways than one. Brielle has hosted Super Bowl parties for kids. She started Braedon Day where she sets up activities and swimming lessons. She has organized anti-bullying rallies for teen girls and raised funds for the flood victims in Lumberton, NC, and much more. Brielle is also a certified substance abuse counselor, mentor, and new wife to Curtis Bing, Jr.

Curtis and Brielle met at the Beaufort Water Festival in 2019 and were newly married on December 12, 2020. Curtis was also born and raised in beautiful Beaufort by the sea to Curtis and Natasha Bing, Sr. Curtis is a graduate of Battery Creek High School. In 2016, he joined the United States Army. He has served our country in many ways, including being stationed in Iraq (Operation Enduring Freedom), and he’s currently stationed at Hunter Army Airfield Army Base in Savannah, GA. Curtis states he has always had a desire to serve in the military. He enjoys coaching and mentoring youth. He is the basketball coach at Rice Creek Middle School in Savannah, GA.

Curtis and Brielle have recently opened a second venue, Royalties Ballroom in Port Royal. Their mission is to provide a space for intimate weddings, baby showers, banquets, first communions, children’s birthday parties, and more. They offer a full-service experience. Brielle is known for her gorgeous decorations for events of all kinds. Their goal is to secure a larger venue eventually and to expand their services beyond Beaufort County.

Anyone looking for a beautifully decorated space to host an event should contact Brielle at 843-941-2052. Allow Dream & Treasures or Royalties Ballroom to make your vision come to life while you enjoy the joyous occasion at either of their two locations.
