Lauryn Johnston, of Beaufort, SC is doing what she loves. Lauryn grew up a military brat and has been in Beaufort since childhood. Lauryn is a Registered Nurse of 8 years and currently works part time at Beaufort Memorial Wound Care Center. She is a wife, a mother of two young boys, and a Foster Parent to a young daughter. Lauryn embodies the true meaning of “Proverbs Woman”. She has many roles and does her best to master them all. With all that life has blessed her with, she finds great peace and solace in crafting. Lauryn states she initially started crocheting in 2008, while in nursing school, as an outlet to escape the tediousness of studying, preparing for tests, graduation, and state board licensing. When she started crocheting, it was her thoughts that she would make handmade gifts for her family members. Lauryn states she learned to crochet and craft by watching YouTube videos. She attributes her beautiful logo and name to her husband, Greyson, who she says is her biggest supporter and motivator to continue to share her gift of crafting. Initially, her handmade pieces may not have been the prettiest, but Lauryn says she was proud to give them as Christmas gifts to her family members. She stopped for a while, then after the birth of her second son, she picked it back up in 2016. Lauryn has since become an expert crafter since her starting in 2016. She has created many custom pieces, which she has sold on her ETSY store “Ljay Loops.”

Lauryn states she participated in “OktoPRfest” 2018, in Port Royal SC for the first-time last year. She states, “I had no idea that I would sell so many of my custom pieces.” Some of her pieces available are: hats, scarves, clutches, stockings, beanies, baskets, pumpkins, scrunchies to name a few. Lauryn states her bestselling item at this time are her custom hats. All items are custom made with love and joy and are available to purchase. Orders can be placed on Facebook, Instagram and ETSY.

Lauryn Johnston continues to pour her heart and craftiness into all her pieces. She is looking forward to participating in “OktoPRfest” 2019 in Port Royal, SC on October 26th, 2019.
