DESTINY WILLIAMS AND WILLIAM BEARD
Not Your Average Lemonade

It all started with thirst, and a vision that would one day quench so much more than that. While at South Carolina State University’s Homecoming game, Destiny found herself missing half the game searching for something cold to drink. She traveled to Jackson State’s Homecoming game, expecting better. But once again, no refreshments were anywhere to be found. The final straw was the rodeo. It was long and hot, and after spending most of the event just trying to find something to drink, Destiny had finally had enough.
She came home to William and said the words that would spark a business empire: “Sometimes people just want something to drink.” That simple moment of realization led to the birth of Sweet Southern Co. of the Lowcountry, a brand built on the belief that sometimes the most powerful ideas are born from the simplest needs. What began as one cooler, a few lemons, and a fold-out table has grown into a movement. Blending Southern tradition, hospitality, and entrepreneurial spirit poured into every cup.
A TASTE OF THE SOUTH IN EVERY SIP
Sweet Southern Co. of the Lowcountry is more than a beverage brand; it’s a feeling.
Each pour of lemonade represents family, faith, and the roots that raised Destiny. Every batch is fresh-squeezed and made with care, serving not only flavor but also nostalgia; the kind that reminds you of Sunday dinners, family reunions, and warm front-porch laughter.
What started as a simple lemonade stand has now evolved into a growing brand family, including Sweet Southern Sips & Treats, Sweet Southern Tavern, and a series of mobile vending experiences that travel across Georgia and South Carolina. Whether it’s a college homecoming, a music festival, or a neighborhood event, Sweet Southern Co. shows up with joy, energy, and irresistible flavor.
Their lineup includes classic and flavored lemonades, mini pancakes, and the signature Cream Cheese Pound Cake that’s become a crowd favorite. Each item tells a story of family recipes, community love, and the determination to turn something small into something legendary.
FAITH, FAMILY, AND THE SPIRIT OF THE LOWCOUNTRY
Destiny credits their success not only to hard work but to God. Sweet Southern Co. is rooted in purpose; it’s not just about selling drinks but about creating community. The brand’s warm presence and bright, inviting setup bring people together, offering comfort, conversation, and connection.
Every event becomes a family affair. The laughter, the music, the Southern charm; it all comes together under the Sweet Southern umbrella. “We built this from the ground up,” Destiny says. “Every lemon we squeeze, every cake we bake, it’s done with intention and love. This is our way of pouring back into the community.”
FROM A DREAM TO A DESTINATION
As the business continues to grow, so does the vision. The next phase: Sweet Southern Food Trailer, Coffee Shop, and so much more, will merge the brand’s signature comfort with soulful dining, cocktails, and live entertainment, creating a space where community and culture meet over good food and great vibes.
Destiny’s goal is clear: to make Sweet Southern Co. of the Lowcountry a household name, representing the resilience, creativity, and unity of the South. What began as a solution to a simple problem, “having nothing to drink,” has turned into a brand that nourishes the body and soul.
THE LEGACY CONTINUES
Sweet Southern Co. is proof that the smallest sparks can ignite the biggest flames. What started with a craving has become a calling to uplift, inspire, and serve through taste and tradition. Every sip tells a story, and every story begins the same way: with love, faith, and something refreshing to drink.
Born and raised in Savannah, Georgia, Destiny Williams embodies the true spirit of the South — ambitious, grounded, and guided by faith. A proud graduate of A. E. Beach High School and Gupton Jones College of Mortuary Science, Destiny’s early career was rooted in service, care, and purpose. She holds her Cremation Certification, a Commercial Driver’s License (CDL), and a work ethic forged by long hours and even longer roads.
After years of traveling the highways behind the wheel of a semitruck, Destiny made a powerful decision: to shift gears from the road to full-time entrepreneurship. Just three months into that transition, she has become a rising name in the South’s growing small business scene, co-founding Sweet Southern Co. of the Lowcountry.
Outside of business, Destiny finds freedom in motion. Her love for motorcycles, skating, and traveling keeps her spirit adventurous and inspired; the same energy she brings to every event, brand vision, and future endeavor.
Proud Beaufort, South Carolina native, William Beard is a man whose life reflects hard work, dedication, and heart. Educated in both Beaufort and Chatham County schools, William has spent the majority of his professional life working in concrete, mastering a trade that demands precision, patience, and strength. Today, he continues to excel in his field as a skilled Concrete Pump Operator while also holding his Commercial Driver’s License (CDL), a testament to his versatility and work ethic.
William’s professional journey is built on the same foundation that defines who he is as a man; steady, reliable, and purposeful. Whether he’s operating heavy machinery or helping build his community from the ground up, William approaches every task with pride and perseverance.
A true Southern family man, his loyalty and leadership extend far beyond home. His passion for football runs deep, not only as a fan but also as a dedicated mentor and community leader. William runs a football league called “Ga vs Carolina” and actively participates in several others.
In both business and life, William Beard is the quiet strength that holds everything together. The steady hand beside his partner Destiny, co-founder of Sweet Southern Co. of the Lowcountry. Together, they’ve built more than a brand; they’ve built a legacy grounded in love, faith, and hard work. Just like the concrete William has laid his entire career.

THE SWEET SOUTHERN FAMILY
Destiny and William are quick to credit their success to their incredible team: Dianne Rutlege, Daniel Williams, Angela Moultrie, Damon and LaToria Dawson, Cornelius and Latoya Golden, Lakeisha Beard, Amariah Beard, Marion Moultrie, Paulette Moultrie, Lakendra Holmes, Treva Evans, Le’adria Robinson, and Shanika Richardson.
Executive Assistant Angela Moultrie sums it up best: “Being a part of Sweet Southern isn’t just a job — it’s an experience, a family, and a movement. Every early morning setup, every smiling customer, reminds me why we do this — because we’re creating something special that brings people together.”
She continues, “Working alongside Destiny and William has been inspiring. Their drive, creativity, and passion for community set the tone for everything we do. Sweet Southern is built on faith, family, and flavor — and that energy pours into everything we touch.”
At the end of the day, Destiny calls herself “just a country girl with big dreams.” But those dreams are becoming reality — one lemon, one pour, and one smile at a time.
