Paul Nurnberg, renowned Beaufort photographer, specializes in commercial and advertising photography. The former upstate New York native made his way to the South Carolina coastal region in 1996, along with his wife, Libby. He has been hard at work on a multitude of assignments and projects over the years both in the studio and on location. Some of his local clients include Parker’s Markets, Savannah Economic Development Authority, Beaufort Memorial Hospital, and Mascot Candy Company.

Producing the perfect advertising images for large international corporations is generally where Paul Nurnberg can be found. Over the years he has been on assignment for companies that include JCB, Inc., Johnson Matthey Process Technologies, and Great Dane Trailers. The veteran photographer has also been featured in popular magazines like Coastal Living, Savannah Magazine, People, and Food Arts. His creative abilities and talents have also been significant in the production of HGTV and Food Network television projects. Paul recently worked on an award winning cookbook with Debbi Covington, fellow Beaufort resident and caterer. Her book “Celebrate Everything!” won the Benjamin Franklin Award for book editorial and design in 2013. Paul had the honor of shooting all of the captivating photos for this successful venture.

Last year Paul relocated to a new studio in Beaufort. Susan DeLoach, a colleague and fellow photographer, owns the workspace the two artists now share. Involvement in the local community is important to Paul, and he volunteers his time to serve on civic and community art organizations. He has served as a past president of the Photography Club of Beaufort and is the current president of the South Carolina chapter of the American Society of Media Photographers.

Teaching photography classes to individuals interested in the subject through ARTworks and the Technical College of the Lowcountry has been a wonderful and fulfilling experience for the skilled photographer. Paul is excited about his newly, redesigned website, www.nurnbergphotography.com.

His goal is to keep the site and his blog up to date with current photos and information about his personal and professional projects. To make sure all of this happens he has hired an assistant to handle this. “Morgan Ellis has worked for me for about seven months and she is responsible for the updated website,” he says. Nurnberg Photography also has an Instagram account (instagram.com/nurnberg) and a Facebook page. Take a look at any of these and you will find a wonderful sampling of Paul’s beautiful photographs.
