Eversole Law Firm will be celebrating the anniversary of their 10th year in business this November. Alysoun Eversole, Esq., Attorney and Title Agent, founded the Beaufort firm in 2004, and her office is located near the picturesque, downtown area of Beaufort. The law firm’s primary focus is on all areas of real estate and real property law including real estate closings, drafting deeds, contracts, leases and easements, litigation such as quiet title actions for heirs’ property, tax sales, easement and boundary disputes, and probate administration.

Alysoun may not be a native of Beaufort, but she moved here with her family in the early 70’s. At that time her father was a Marine Corps aviator at the Marine Corps Air Station. He was the Commanding Officer of the first Harrier Jet squadron at the South Carolina military installation. Eventually her family was relocated, but luckily she got the “sand on her feet” and marriage brought Alysoun back to the coastal South Carolina region in 1997. When she is not busy dealing with legal matters at work, Alysoun is usually home with her husband taking care of their small, quiet homestead complete with two horses, a dog and thirty chickens. She loves spending time with her horses and practicing dressage when she has a free moment. She finds those times very relaxing and therapeutic.

Alysoun and Ken have two grown children they are very proud of. Her daughter, Kelsey, lives on “the hill” in Washington, D.C. and works in marketing. Joe, Ken’s son, is stationed with the Navy in Norfolk, Virginia and assigned to the U.S.S. Roosevelt. The legal profession has proved to be a very satisfying career for Alysoun, and she says she has worked with some great people over the years. “I am honored to have a close working relationship with my clients,” she says. Since her firm’s primary work is in the area of real estate, she and her staff work with many of the community’s realtors and bank officials. “I have a remarkable staff,” says Eversole. “They generate a large amount of work for such a small operation,” she proudly says. She realizes that having a competent and professional staff is vital to a successful business, and she has been blessed with one that works well as a team.

Debbie Rodgers is Eversole Law Firm’s real estate closing paralegal with over thirty years of experience, and Cat Swanson is their loan modifications and bankruptcy paralegal who came on board recently to add another dimension to the services offered by the firm.  Eversole is very concerned about the political issues of the day, particularly concerning what she views as the eroding constitutional rights of the citizens of this nation. She is a member of the Heritage Foundation, The NRA, and supports Hillsdale College in their efforts to educate the public about these issues.
